Securing the Future of the Nelson School of Music Endowment Trust

We exist to provide quality musical education, professional and amateurperforming
arts, a quality performance venue, and employment opportunities for teachers and performers in the Nelson Bays region.

The Nelson School of Music Endowment Trust was established with the objective of building a long term investment fund for the Nelson School of Music. The return from the invested funds, after allowing for inflation, will be used to assist the operating of the School and to provide funds for major refurbishment and other projects. A well resourced Endowment fund will lessen the dependence of the School on uncertain short term funding from sources such as the Local Authorities and charitable Trusts.

The Endowment Trust's goal is to have over $3 million invested by 2013 and every contribution towards this goal is important. At June 2009 the Endowments Trust's funds totaled over $1.2 million dollars.
The Endowment Trust Board comprises two former Chair's of the School of Music being Richard Rainey and Ian Kearney as independent Trustees, two members of the School of Music Trust Board, and Jeremy Glasgow as a third independent Trustee.

.........Please feel free to contact Ian (iank@ts.co.nz) if you have any questions
.......................................regarding the Endowment Trust.
